Eight most expensive Bollywood movies which turned out to be big flops


Here, we are listing eight of those Bollywood movies that took lots of money, and gave lots of exceptions to producers, yet failed to make their presence in the industry.

1-Shaandar

Once credited amongst the highly awaited movies of the year 2015, the movie Shaandar took not more than a day to fall afresh pairing. Not only me but there would also have been many who genuinely felt very bad for this film. The total budget to make this film was 75 crores.

2-Bombay Velvet,

Another biggest flop of the year 2015 was 125 crores budget film directed by Anurag Kashyap. Yes, I am talking about Bombay Velvet which was although a complete rejection of Cinema fans. The mere loss this film had to bear collectively was 1000 crores. At that time Bollywood and entertainment news channels and industry specialists had to declare it as the biggest flop in the history of Bollywood movies released yet. And the lead role actors who had to face this ailment were Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.

4- Kites

Rupees 150 crores budget got in vain, and the dream crossover of a directing legend and the father of a brilliant superstar son Hritik Roshan could not be completed as the film Kites was a big flop. The melodic album, Mexican hottie, and wasn’t enough to save the film directed by a superstar director.

5-Asoka

A 13 crores ambitious project of Shah Rukh Khan was a complete fail when both fans and critics denied giving much importance to his movie Asoka.

6-Love Story 2050

The producer Harry Baweja’s effort to give his son Harman Baweja a dream launch got totally in vain due to the senseless script in the movie Love Story 2050.

7-Raavan

The dream of Maniratnam to come back with a mega project failed due to the heavy loss figured out by his creation Raavan. This 100-crore film has to lose more than 50% at the box office.

8-Mangal Pandey

Mangal Pandey, before its launch, was the most awaited movie but an unexpected failure of this 35-crore budget film was a failure one. Possibly the concept of a prostitute doing a romance with one of the freedom fighters of India didn’t go well with many.

There have been several instances in the history of Bollywood Movies when the best directors, acting legends, and huge loads of budges were not able to save a film.
