What role does education play in Child Development?

Children are the future of any country, the children of today are the future of tomorrow. It is the responsibility of the school to stimulate curiosity in young minds and provide them to become a better human being. The learning process is quite essential for shaping one’s personality and the way someone handles the situation of life. We have recently seen a big change in the Education System in India by the Government. The decades-old education system of India needed a change in order to enhance the standard of education in India.

In the present scenario of the world, education is the basic necessity for human beings after food, clothing and shelter. Child Education in School should target a few aspects mentioned responsible to contribute immensely to the development of young minds as they put their steps in adulthood.

For the sufficient contribution to the development of young minds right after their step into adulthood, the importance of education revolves around the following aspects:

Mental Aspect

School is the first stage that creates a base of knowledge for children. With school children get a chance to gather knowledge on several fields including mathematics, history, politics, literature, etc. The school is also responsible for inculcating the constructive thought process in people. With the exposure of so much knowledge of the world, the individual’s existence becomes vast.

Social Aspect

School is the first place where a child learns to become social. Before school, only parents and family members develop have the responsibility to develop social skills in children’s mind. The environment of schools is very important, as with schools children are not only exposed to new idealism but also develop social practices like empathy, participation, assistance, friendship, participation etc., that plays a very important role in their childhood.

Physical aspect

A child has to pass through different physical development processes. At home, he is allowed a restricted outlet, however in School, a child is perfectly able to improvise his energy into more sociable avenues. Studies reveal the fact that the children minds are well prepared to learn as per the best of his/her convenience only when they come in contact with the individuals of the same age. Also, they are able to make the best usage of their sports activities and all sorts of creativity with one another.

Overall Development

Gone are the days when schools were to help children learn events in history chapters, solve complex maths questions, pen down poems or attending exams. At the present scenario, a child is able to improve its skills beyond the traditional method of remote learning. Going to school the child gets freedom from the mental blocks and checks its own imagination to understand the world and know how to respond to that.
